The global prevalence of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in children and adolescents under the age of 20 is approximately 1.5 million. Despite advancements in treatment, glycemic control remains suboptimal for most individuals with T1DM. Regardless of the insulin regimen employed, the intricate demands of diabetes management require that children and their caregivers make numerous daily treatment decisions.
