GLUSIT is a novel salivary glucose detection test enhanced with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). It combines an enzyme-based colorimetric system that enhanced by the nanoplasmonic effect directly on a nitrocellulose-based strip, producing a visible color change within 3 minutes. GLUSIT provides home glucose monitoring, accurate, cost-effective, and pain-free monitoring for users. This addresses the limitation of invasive methods that require blood, which are painful, risk infection, and costly.
