The drug-delivery system in this presentation is prepared by dissolving the polymer and an anticancer drug in glycofurol. Outside the body, this drug-delivery system exists as a polymer solution. When injected into a tumor, glycofurol gradually diffuses out while water diffuses into the polymer mass, causing coagulation of the polymer into a solid matrix.
