This innovation introduces a next-generation rapid diagnostic test (RDT) that applies a lateral-flow immunoassay to simultaneously detect dengue NS1 antigen and determine the infecting serotype (DENV-1 to DENV-4)—a capability absent in commonly used commercial NS1 RDTs. This advanced system enables early dengue diagnosis combined with rapid serotype identification, thereby supporting clinical decision-making, strengthening outbreak surveillance, and improving dengue risk management.
