EHP is a microsporidian that suppresses shrimp growth, and the development of rapid diagnostics for EHP is critical. An LFIA using highly specific MAbs to PTP2 shows no cross-reactivity and an LOD of ~1,000 copies/ng DNA. Field evaluations (>100 farm samples) showed 100% agreement with qPCR above this threshold. Results are obtained within 20 minutes, enabling reliable on-farm surveillance.”
