This study makes a magnetic biochar from coconut shells and iron fibers to help clean up oil spills. The biochar can soak up oil, and because it is magnetic, it can be collected easily with a magnet and used again. It is a simple, low-cost, and eco-friendly way to turn coconut waste into a useful material for protecting the ocean from oil pollution.
