Transforming Cotton Waste into Activated Carbon for Zeolite 13X Composite in a Direct Air Capture Scheme to Reduce Carbon Emissions

Detail

Our product employs an activated carbon/zeolite 13X composite synthesized from cotton waste as a sustainable adsorbent for carbon dioxide (CO₂) reduction through a Direct Air Capture (DAC) mechanism. The composite combines the high surface area and porosity of activated carbon with the strong CO₂ affinity of zeolite 13X, achieving a maximum adsorption capacity of 86.31 mg/g and an efficiency improvement of over 21% compared to unmodified activated carbon derived from cotton waste.
