This research explores the use of natural dyes extracted from local plants in North Sumatra Bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus), Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium) and Cassava Leaves (Manihot esculenta) as photosensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), providing a sustainable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative to synthetic dyes in solar energy applications.
