This project aims to develop an environmentally friendly oil-absorbent material by utilizing water hyacinth fibers combined with natural rubber latex. The results showed that the foam containing 7.5 phr of water hyacinth fiber exhibited the highest oil-absorption capacity. These findings indicate that water-hyacinth-reinforced natural rubber latex foam can effectively replace synthetic absorbent materials.
