Detail

Traditional ceramic materials that are produced through mining produces a large amount of carbon dioxide and harms the environment. Kaolin is a main ingredient in ceramic production that supplies plasticity and density. Rice husk ash (RHA), an agricultural waste that has a high content of silica (silicon dioxide) that is beneficial in production of ceramic as it provides structure, hardness and thermal to the ceramic. Replacing less kaolin with RHA balances thermal and porosity of ceramic.
