This innovation transforms shrink-film labels, a type of non-recyclable plastic waste found on beverage bottles, into a lightweight concrete material suitable for community-level production. The shrink-film waste is upcycled into lightweight coarse aggregate, replacing natural stone—an exhaustible resource—in the manufacturing of lightweight concrete. The resulting lightweight concrete incorporating shrink-film aggregates meets the relevant Thai Industrial Standards (TIS).
