The developed apparatus enables the lowering and retrieval of the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) cable from the uppermost crossarm of an EGAT high-voltage transmission tower, allowing on-site repair without crane hire. It saves approximately 50,000 Baht per day, eliminates road closures, reduces traffic-related accident risks, and employs a structural steel assembly from existing parts.
