VOLCALERT is a land-based device designed to detect early indicators of volcanic activity by addressing the lack of affordable and localized early warning systems in Southeast Asia. The device was conceptualized to monitor key volcanic precursors using three integrated sensors: the DHT-22 for temperature and humidity, the MQ-136 for detecting sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions, and a piezoelectric vibration sensor for ground tremors.
