The A’COGREP device was developed to solve the issue of bias in color grease testing, which can be affected by differences in perception among analysts and inconsistent external lighting. The control system uses a microcontroller and a Tristimulus CIE XYZ sensor with a reflectance method, operating by reflecting light onto the sample and reading the reflected light. The test results are displayed quantitatively as numerical values on LCD touchscreen.
